Resumen

SANDOVAL, Luis Ricardo; BIANCHI, Marta Pilar  y  VARELA, Mauro Gabriel. Anticipar el futuro: la inteligencia artificial, entre ficción e imaginación. Intersecc. comun. (En línea) [online]. 2022, vol.2, n.16, pp.1-1. ISSN 2250-4184.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.51385/ic.v2i16.161.

In this paper, a preliminary inquiry is carried out in the technological imaginaries related to development of artificial intelligence, based on recent audiovisual fictions that thematize it, where we notice an inflection with respect to a classic treatment of the subject. Novels, films, television series, are never “mere fiction”, since as Gerbner and his collaborators have long shown, the stories teach values, norms and ideologies. For this reason, we proposed to put fictional stories in dialogue with an exploration of another type: imaginaries and discursivities around technologies and the future, from a qualitative approach that combined group and individual interviews with young people between 16 and 26 years old. The constant references of the interviewees to films or television series to exemplify their ideas in this regard made it clear that, in the task of imagining the future, audiovisual fiction plays an important role.
