Resumen

MAGGI, Marina. A Jovial Bustle: Humor as a Poetic Disposition in the Journal el lagrimal trifurca (1968-1976). CELEHIS [online]. 2021, n.42, pp.101-110. ISSN 2313-9463.

This article presents the invention of humor as a poetic arrangement in the pages of the magazine el lagrimal trifurca (1968-19676). Humor is conceived here as a sensitive position towards literary activity, which involves both a way of perceiving group cohesion around publication and a predilection for a tone refractory to solemnity and melancholy (Freidemberg 1986: 22). Already from its title -based on two verses from Trilce by César Vallejo- it is possible to identify the affiliation in a jovial tone with an avant-garde imaginary of Latin American vocation, which links expressive freedom with openness to new ways of experiencing the present. Without presupposing a polemical break with tradition, the editors aspire to a renewal of poetic language based on a claim to occurrence and lightness.
