The studies related to the agricultural modernization process, and its contradictory impacts on the social-productive structure of Argentina, is the appropriate contextual framework to deepen about the existing knowledge -in contemporary society- about the potential risks associated with the questioning of the technological innovations incorporated to this process. In this respect, the present article takes as a starting point the understanding that public knowledge of the risks arising from technological events, is warned by social actors through the mass media, who are discursive mediators of different social systems: science, technology, politics, economics, among others. That is why, Argentina’s newspapers are analyzed in order to reveal how the communication occurs on the risks associated with agriculturization process; going deeply into three main resources: the recurrent subjects, the connections or couplings that present in the statement the different voices and the discursive contrapositions that arise from the comparison between the studied newspapers. Addressing these issues critically involves recognizing that the published information about risk can influence in social and cultural perception, giving rise to its materialization in local environments.
