The objective of this work is to analyze international relations of Argentina in the present century, in order to determine its status as a medium-power status. In this regard we argue that the country was far from carrying such a condition. We performed the analysis from the international permissibility, autonomy and foreign policy issues. We were able to establish the consequences of partnerships that are sealed by the country, the costs of its dependencies and aspects of its external power. We conclude that Argentina practiced an internationalism ethnocentric not provided you international perspective to its economic recovery, despite the favorable context.
