This article analyzes the content in what sense that was given to the process of politi-cal leadership of the defense during the government of Nestor Kirchner and Cristina Fernandez stressed the international integration of the country in strategic military area. To this end, an approach is made to the content of that process as the main criticisms and doubts arising therefrom. The premise is seeking support indicates that although the process of political leadership of the Defence implied substantive pro-gress in various aspects inherent to the sector, the impact on the effective integration of the country was on because of certain inconsistencies linked to the implementa-tion of such driving.
