In this paper, we present an overview of citizen training in high school students. The purpose is to analyze some of the positions and propose the adhesion of the citizen’s culture as an integral concept that seeks that the students go from mere observers to an active participation. In the first part, it approaches diverse approaches on the citizen formation in the baccalaureate. In the second one, the perspective of the citizen’s culture is exposed from the postulates pointed out by the sociologist Alain Touraine (1995, 2006a, 2006b, 2002), in which he mentions assert that to pass from the passivity of the individuals to the conformation of citizens is through the recognition of his subjectivity and of the self, to foment a reflexive and critical intervention of his environment.
