Resumen
ZUNINO, Pablo Enrique Abraham. Bergson and the Concept of Image in Deleuze’s Studies on Cinema. Bol. estét. [online]. 2019, n.48, pp.1-27. ISSN 2408-4417. http://dx.doi.org/10.36446/be.2019.48.87.
The aim of this article is to highlight the specificity of the Deleuzian reception of Henri Bergson's thought about the concept of image from its development in Gilles Deleuze's books on cinema: Cinema 1: The Movement Image (1983) and Cinema 2: The Time-Image (1985). This analysis has a singular relevance on the various levels of experience: aesthetic, ontological, political and pedagogical. The idea is to show how the theory of images, proposed by Bergson in Matter and Memory (1896), is reinterpreted by Deleuze assuming new philosophical positions, the scope of which exceeds that of the original proposal, while maintaining absolute argumentative coherence.
