Resumen

ROMANELLI, Hugo. The role of the human factor in the success of dental clinical practice. Rev. Asoc. Odontol. Argent. [online]. 2023, vol.111, n.3, pp.1-1.  Epub 01-Dic-2023. ISSN 2683-7226.  http://dx.doi.org/10.52979/raoa.1111201.1241.

Failures and complications in the field of oral surgery are generally analyzed from a technical or biological point of view. In general terms, based on the fragmentary spirit of knowledge, dental care tends to be focused on the technical and theoretical knowledge. We are currently witnessing sociocultural changes that are producing modifications in the paradigms of dental care, also considering communication with the patient and the psychological situation of both the patient and the professional team. This editorial seeks to reflect on these issues, considering the most integrated visions to achieve greater balance in professional care.

Palabras clave : Human error; human factor; surgical complications.
