In the research project “Analysis of Teaching Work: Task instructions in the area of Physical Education (B-209 CRUB-UNCo)”, we have worked in collaboration with professors of Didactics of Physical Education and trainees of the physical education teacher-training course. The aim is to gather information that will allow us to contribute to teacher training through the observation of the performance of the PE teacher trainees, in terms of their achievements and difficulties. For this purpose, we have studied the relationship between the trainees’ effective work in their first classes and their prescribed work plan. We follow a line of research known as “Analysis of task instructions” (Riestra, 2008) which, articulated with the perspective of “Teacher Work Analysis” (Bronckart, 2007 and Filliettaz and Bronckart, 2005), leads us to focus on the instructions that the trainees prepare for their classes. This paper offers a brief description of the research methodology implemented and the results of the analysis of a primary school lesson taught by a trainee, which was made up of complex games which resulted in very extensive instructions that had to be reformulated
