This article addresses a number of recently identified trends of change in experiences focusing primarily on secondary schools, both nationally and internationally. It seeks to characterize these transformations and to circumscribe them in a broader field that both exceeds and cuts across education: the changes in the field of knowledge and the organization of disciplines, as well as the availability of a new set of artefacts and technologies that radically change the way we work with knowledge. Throughout these pages we will track the emergence of evidence of these changes in the experiences to be analysed. The hypothesis discussed in the text is that these proposals are the result of the creation of a pedagogy that adapts to the needs and demands of contemporary societies. In fact, more than pedagogical inventions that are autonomously developed within the educational field, they turn out to be the educational responses to a changing world that bursts into and transforms the school scene.
