Description of the nest and chicks of the Tucumán Mountain-Finch (Compsospizabaeri).- Nest site, nest and chicks of the Tucumán Mountain-Finch (Compsospiza baeri) are described for the first time. The observations were carried out in El Infiernillo (2800 masl), 20 km north of Tafí del Valle, Tucumán Province. An active nest with three chicks (approximately one-week old) was found among shrubs and rocks in a steep-sided ravine with dense vegetation. Another two pairs were observed, one of them with an approximately one-month old juvenile.
