Usually pediatricians have to estimate the probability of a specific health outcome in children. When the only data available for this comes from a study in which a zero numerator is reported, making inferences seems to be especially problematic. To solve this problem, we have found a simple, useful rule to calculate the upper limit of confidence interval.
