Population, material and methods. Oservational transversal study. A group of tatooed was compared with a non-tattoed group to asses association with risk factors and risky behaviours. All the adolescents who consulted at the Adolescent clinic 3 months 2001; all tattooed (n= 54) and adolescents without tattoes were paired by age and sex completed a questionary. OR (IC 95) was calculated. Multivariate analysis was made. Results. The global prevalence was 6,3 % (13% in olders adolescents). The factors and risk taking behaviors which were significantly more frequent in the tattooed group were: simply parent household, school failure, tobacco use, alcohol, number of alcoholic intoxication, drug use, sexual intercourse, number of sex partners, body piercing. Tattooed adolescents had better kowledge of the irreversibility. The multivariate analysis showed an association with tobacco, school failure, sexual intercourse and knowledge of irreversibility.
