The objective of this research is to approach to the comprehension of survival practices of the poor in the villas and cities of Castile and León from the XIth to the XIIIth century. The chosen strategy was the study of that period's legislation, and the elaboration of a detailed inventory of those habits, that allowed to show which skills were used and how breeding was described in each century.
