The problems of Argentine economic and social development are long-standing. The external strangulation of our economy at the beginning of the 1970s was already point out and has its roots in important weaknesses and unresolved socio-productive challenges. On the other hand, Argentina has been integrating most of its workers in one of the most advanced labor configurations in the region was achieved, although this configuration has changed negatively during the last forty years.

Nowadays, many sectors of our society, businessmen, intellectuals, politicians, scientists, trade unionists, continue underestimated the close relationship between the growing heterogeneity of labor market and the structural problems of competitiveness and productive. In this framework the pandemic of COVID-19 has enhance those problems.

This paper aims to analyze the characteristics of some of the structural problems related to the Argentine labor market, from the viewpoint of the dynamic potential and related to the social and productive structure, with a strong focus in the COVID-19 impacts within this labor market. We shall hope do a contribution, through the comparison between the 1st and 2nd quarterly of 2020 and with the forecast of some themes.
