I analyze the process of crisis and restructuring of fishing activity in Argentine Patagonia, a key economic branch for the country's economy in general and for the Patagonian economic-social structure in particular. To do this I focus on the study of social conflicts developed around fishing in the northeast of Chubut between 1997 and 2007. I observe how the workers of the sector responded to various situations, what struggles they developed, through what organizational experiences they did, and what kind of relationships they established with employers and governments.
