The article proposes to address linking as a constitutive dimension of teaching and training situations. Human bonds innervate relationships of different kinds: communicational, emotional, as well as related to the exercise of power and domination.

We will discuss three theoretical models from which it will be possible to interpret and understand the connection around teaching and training: the communication link; the power bond; the emotional bond.

In all cases, it will be possible to notice the paradoxical meaning that linking takes on in relationships within the classroom. Paradox that, far from being understood as an obstacle or difficulty that presents itself to us in understanding reality, will be proposed as a reading key to access the complexity of humanity.
