LISSANDRELLO, Guido. The Strategic Discussion on the Argentinian Leftist Factions in the '70s: Approach to the debate between insurrectionalism and guerrillerism in the Revolucionary Comunist Party (PCR), 1967-1972). Andes [online]. 2015, vol.26, n.1, pp.00-00. ISSN 1668-8090.

Studies of leftist political organizations in the 1970s in Latin America  tended to consider those who adopted the armed struggle as a tactic. Thus, the political groups that did not reject the violent nature of the revolution, were left aside. They deployed strategies not intended to build military apparatus. To make clear the involvement of the leftist factions in the period, we study the Revolucionary Comunist Party (PCR) of Argentina, which deployed a strategy of insurrectionist type. At the time of its creation, from its theoretical journal (Teoría y Política), we rebuild the deep strategic debate that went through the organization to define such strategy, manifested from "guerrillerist" to insurrectionary tendencies. We also note how this last strategy is the one that tended to prevail in the debate that took place from 1967 to 1972.
