ASPRELLA, Ezequiel  e  SCHULZ, Juan Sebastián. Coloniality of knowledge, epistemologies of the south and decolonial thought. Crisis and opportunities in the configuration of a new world order. Cuad. Fac. Humanid. Cienc. Soc., Univ. Nac. Jujuy [online]. 2020, n.57, pp.177-196. ISSN 1668-8104.

The present work sets out to recover the categories of coloniality of knowledge and power, southern epistemologies and civilizational dialogue to address the forms of domination by the central powers in our continent and describe the alternatives proposed for the construction of an order. multipolar and pluriversal world. It starts from the characterization of the current historical conjuncture as a context of world crisis, of a structural and systemic nature that, as a consequence, opens a hegemonic historical-spatial transition, enabling the conditions of possibility for emancipatory processes on the peripheries of the world. To achieve these objectives, the theoretical-conceptual approaches of classical authors of decolonial thought such as Enrique Dussel, Anibal Quijano, Walter Mignolo and Boaventura de Sousa Santos are recovered, putting them in dialogue with the world system theorists (Immanuel Wallerstein, Giovanni Arrighi) and theorists of contemporary geopolitical thought (Walter Formento, Wim Dierckxsens, Carlos Martins). For a situated analysis of the selected analytical categories, public declarations and official documents from countries in the south of the world are taken up, mainly from the main emerging power in the ascendant, the People's Republic of China, to recover the approaches regarding the overcoming of the unipolar order Western, as a community of shared destiny for humanity, putting it in relation to the ecology of knowledge, bridging ideas that question the Western Eurocentric idea of monoculturalism and ethnocentrism, and allow us to think of new emancipatory horizons for our region. Finally, the transition and possibility of the construction of a multipolar / pluriversal world that recovers the knowledge and worldviews of the groups historically subordinated to a monocultural / universal strategic project are positively pointed out
