BARBOSA, Susana Raquel. Hegel y Darwin: historia, evolución, y el lugar de América. Enfoques [online]. 2013, vol.25, n.2, pp.93-109. ISSN 1669-2721.

Thoughtful consideration of history proposed in Lessons of philosophy of universal history by Hegel, the idea of a totality never identical to itself, breaks the linearity of the conception of history. Darwin's interest is guided by a chain link liable to all living beings with a common origin. America occupies a symbolic kernel weight in both proposals, and this is because America, being the new, for Hegel, is not included in the history, while the same land, for Darwin, is the living model of his notes on gauchos and Native that are the basis of identity (South) American. Even knowledge of the difference in principle between the theories of Hegel and Darwin, this research tries to find a common basis for comparing the idea of evolution in both authors from the method of a critical history of philosophical ideas.
