This article deals with the relationship between the system that the Mexican philosopher José Vasconcelos calls aesthetic monism and his theory of knowledge, where what he calls “emotional knowledge” prevails. In addition, the Vasconceliano weighing is contextualized in the context of Latin American thought at the beginning of the 20th century and the anti-positivist reaction of the time.
