This essay explores the possibilities of the existence of a social education, a social pedagogy and a planned socio-educational intervention at the State level and channeled through the universities in Chile, which would make up the fabric of the social network that would truly drive the country towards development, in the context of a society that is definitely already part of the global village and that has most of the characteristics of “liquid modernity”, as Bauman would call this post-modern society of critical analysis. Thus, the discourse passes through the fundamental conceptualizations, the considerations in the context of liquid modernity, the areas of intervention and the methodology of socio-educational intervention.
