ROLDAN, Martha. Engendered Informational Development and Artistic (Theatre) Work and Learning Organization at Workshop and High School Levels: reflections on the Argentine experience (1990-2000s). Aljaba [online]. 2007, vol.11, pp.45-77. ISSN 1669-5704.

The linkages between socioeconomic growth in central economies and the reconstruction of underdevelopment in countries of the periphery through a New Engendered International-Informational Division of Labor constitute an almost unexplored area of (absent) Latin American development research. This article attempts to contribute to overcome that gap by pursuing a line of Feminist research that argues that women's and men's socioeconomic and psychological work realities contest usual significations of development while, simultaneously, they also provide the feedback necessary for the design of really effective development strate- gies. To this purpose the essay focuses on the linkages between artistic (theatre) work and learning organization in two scenarios: at the "vocational" workshop level, and at the high school level in the Theatre "Artistic Specialization" structure, in the context of Argentine informational capitalism (1990-2000s). What are the lessons of this exercise at a time when artistic work is being rapidly incorporated into the world value circuit, and from the perspective of a development agenda based on the defense of women's (and men's) indivisible Human Rights?
