MUZZIO, N.M.; ULON, S.N.; MERINO, L.A.  e  JACOBO, R.A.. Aislamiento de Salmonella arizonae en carne molida de una carnicería de Corrientes, Argentina. Rev. vet. [online]. 2016, vol.27, n.2, pp.134-136. ISSN 1669-6840.

An investigation to establish the grade of bacterial contamination in samples of ground beef was carried out in butcheries of Corrientes city. The research included the identification of pathogen bacterias like Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Salmonella spp. Fortuitously, isolations of Salmonella arizonae took place in two occasions (years 2009 and 2011). This germ is a not very habitual agent in meats for human consumption, but is frequent in intestine of reptiles and chelonides. In spite of the fact that S. arizonae was detected in distant periods of time, it got the attention that both samples came from the same butchery and seemingly of the same cold storage plant. It could indicate a permanent source of infection and a situation of evident sanitary risk.

Palavras-chave : ground beef; Salmonella arizonae; isolation; butchery.
