Like a part of an investigation about the Territorio de Los Andes, this paper made an approach to the history of the Huaytiquina railroad. This railroad has some particularities within the argentine railway history, that they will be identified in this article. Also will be analyzed a part of the imaginary created around this railway infrastructure, throughout the century XX, and will be investigated some of the territorial effects caused by this transport service in the Puna de Atacama region.
