The work focused on the entrance to the University and aims to explore the potential of virtual environments to promote the development and expression of positive emotions. In order to accompany the college entrance, we designed an experience that involved using Facebook as a complementary space of communication and interaction among freshmen. The results show that although most freshmen considered of interest to join the group on Facebook, dynamism and participation in that context were low. However, we note a significant participation of freshmen on issues related to the college entrance in those virtual spaces created by them, such as the biographies of their personal accounts. We conclude that the social network may operate as an interesting resource in the context of college entrance.
