MAC GAUL, Marcia; VARGAS, Claudio  e  DEL OLMO, Paola. Self-management of virtual evaluation in the field of Programming. Rev. iberoam. tecnol. educ. educ. tecnol. [online]. 2021, n.28, pp.108-116. ISSN 1851-0086.

This work presents the aspects considered to design, apply and assess a completely virtual evaluation system, focused on the student's will to be evaluated, regarding the contents of Computational Problem Solving, Algorithms with simple and indexed variables and Fundamental Algorithms insertion, deletion, classification and search. Other ways of evaluating were rethought, placing it in a process integrated into the complex teaching process. This process of reflection, action and inquiry recognizes that the central actor of the evaluation is the student, who in the context of the pandemic had to carry out a process of construction and metacognitive analysis beyond the contents learned. Three hypotheses are formulated that constitute some of the predictions that an evaluation model based on student self-management would have, a) the initial volunteers correspond to the students in better academic conditions, b) the first volunteers require fewer make up exams and c) the lagging students who meet the requirements to be assessed with extra support will perform better than active non-volunteer students. The verification of the hypotheses oriented towards the empowerment of the students, making them responsible for their own evaluation.
