This article follows UBACyT Research Project: "Boarding devices for mental health urgencies from de view of professionals, psychologists and psychiatrists, intervening in them." Director: Prof. Dr. Ines Sotelo, Co-Director: Dr. Guillermo Belaga. Within the framework of this research, the aim of this paper is to analyze, from a psychoanalytical point of view, the opinion that psychiatrists and psychologists they have working in the ER about the problematic use of substances. We are going to use 50 recorded protocols from the interviews with these professionals. It's important to note that these are professionals that belong to emergency room in public, monovalent and polyvalent hospitals of the City of Buenos Aires and suburbs. The results will allow a first approach in understanding the reality of dealing with this problem in the emergency. It will also give an opportunity to question the need of redesigning the devices for the treatment of patients with problematic use of substances.
