Results: It is distinguished from the others species of the genus by foliar characters such as leaves ovate to ovate-oblong, strongly concave, auriculate, and an abruptly piliferous, recurved apex. Conclusions: C. brevicaudatum is described and illustrated, and the differences between this taxon and the other species present in Argentina are shown in a key.
