BALBONI, C; GONZALEZ, MI; STELLA, I e MORICHELLI, M. Diagnosing a photodermatosis. Case report and review of actinic prurigo. Rev. argent. dermatol. [online]. 2021, vol.102, n.2, pp.61-70. ISSN 1851-300X.
Actinic Prurigo is a rare form of inmunologically mediated photodermatosis that affects skin, lip semimucosa and conjunctiva.
At the moment, the etiology remains unknown, but it is known to have a genetic component, so it could correspond to an autoimmune disease.
It presents with intense itching, erythematous papulonodular lesions that appear in the spring-summer season. It mainly affects photoexposed regions of the tegument such as the face, neck and anterior face of limbs.
It is important to make an early diagnosis to provide the patient with a better quality of life, controlling lesions and their accompanying symptoms.
