BISCHOFF, Tábata Z; MOURAO SIMONETTI, Ana P. M e NUERNBERG, Paulo H. Influence of different temperatures on the development of wheat seeds. Rev. cienc. tecnol. [online]. 2015, n.24, pp.12-15. ISSN 1851-7587.
Wheat is a crop that has extensive soil and climate adaptation. Its ideal development temperature is around 15 to 20 ºC. Therefore, it is considered a winter crop, with vegetative tolerant to frost. However, the phase of flowering and physiological maturation of the grains is extremely sensitive, so it is possible that large productivity losses occur. This work aims to evaluate the effect of different temperatures on seed germination of wheat. This experiment was conducted in the laboratory seed Gurgacz Assis School, in the city of Cascavel - PR. Experimental design was used in a randomized block with two crops testers (BRS 208 and BRS 220), four levels of temperatures (15, 20, 25, 30 ºC) and four replications. Seeds were maintained on a photoperiod of 12 hours germination chambers with temperature control. The conclusion was that the best development of the cultures used in the experiment took place under the temperature of 15 ºC. In addition, statistical analysis allowed to observe a higher rate of germination of the crop BRS 208.
