This paper focuses on capital ownership-control separation. Particularly, tries to evaluate the degree in which it has developed in argentinian industrial activity during the last decade. Different firm’s types of organizational and management structures are used as an indicator of this process. Specific goal of this paper are to construct an index (using Multiple Correspondences Analysis) which allows to characterize firms according to its degree of ownership-control separation among them. The data source is the National Survey on Labor Dynamics and Innovation (ENDEI, by its initials in spanish) carried out by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation and the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security during 2010-2012 in Argentina. In few words, firms which are large, non family owned, internationalized, owned by another group or dedicated to activities like Pharmaceuticals or Chemistry present larger values in the index and, therefore, are more likely to present larger values in capital ownership-management separation.
