TRONCOSO, Viviana Úrsula; GANDULLO, Ricardo e MINUE, Carlos. Arable weed vegetation bioindicator of salinization of the Alto Valle de Río Negro (Argentina). Multequina [online]. 2021, vol.30, n.1, pp.133-165. ISSN 1852-7329.
The purpose of this work is to characterize the arable weed communities bioindicator of salinization in fruit, vine and forage crops. The study covered thirteen localities in the Alto Valle de Río Negro, from Chichinales to Contralmirante Cordero localities. One hundred four vegetation releves were carried out through the phytosociological methodology. The data synthesized in a final table allowed to establish the composition and delimitation of six plant communities with characteristic textural classes, distributed in two groups that correspond geographically with the northern and southern sectors of the Alto Valle. The bioindicator potential of each community was established according to the halophilous degree and the categorization of soil salinity. The communities of Atriplex heterosperma-Spergula salina, Suaeda altissima-Puccinellia glaucescens and Parapholis incurva presented potential as bioindicator of salinization in the northern sector, while the community of Leptochloa fusca did so in the southern sector.
