Introduction: The Declaration of Giessen 2005 constituted the matrix of a "new nutrition" that establishes that the biological, social and environmental dimensions must be postulated as indivisible parts of the nutrition of the social collectives understood as "complex whole". This premise invites us to deepen in the relationship between nature, the body and food. Objective: to analyze the body's self-perception of the small producers of the Agroecological Fair of the city of Córdoba, Argentina, as the main trigger of the transition process towards agroecological practices. Materials and Method: qualitative research. Universe: total of small horticultural producers going through agroecological transition that participate in the Fair (N=4). Sample: intentional, made up of key informants linked to that space, in charge of deepening information given by the first ones (n = 12). Techniques used to gather information : participants and non-participants observations, discussion group and semi-structured interviews. Ethical considerations: we ensured the protection of the principles inherent to the declarations of Nürenberg, Helsinki and Tokyo. Analysis of information based on grounded theory. Results: when the small horticultural producers talked about their work, they expressed the type of interaction they maintain with nature, by bringing, inevitably, their own body to scene in analogy with the earth and food. They perceive their own body as an aestheticcognitive place from which they have resignified working with the land from conventional agriculture to agroecology: 1. An ill / poisoned body, resulting from conventional agriculture. 2. A healthy body, resulting from a harmonious relationship with ecology or the cosmos. Conclusion: The self-perception of the body was the main triggering sense that strongly encouraged the producers into starting the transition process towards alternative productive practices.
