"A man decides to draw the world (...) Before dying he discovers that this pacient labyrinth made of lines delineates the image of his face" (Jorge Luis Borges). Among the different artistic genres explored by visual arts the selfportrait is the most appreciated by video-artists; the reasons for this attaction and the particular way in which videoartists approach this topic are the main conceptual axes of this article.
