The problem of representation and the relationship of photography with the photographed object is a subject for study and reflection for theorists and artists since the beginning of photography being a discipline. Today the debate is still interesting. To think about this problem we chose a corpus of photographic works that addresses the representation and staging of significant dimensional works of art history. We will analyze works of Julia Margaret Cameron, Cindy Sherman, Orlan and Nicola Costantino to graph this appropriation of shapes, styles and models.
