The article presents the notions of sideways gaze and vertical gaze as part of the progress of a research in development, about the discursive communities and the scopic regimes involved in the repression archives organized by the Directorate of Intelligence of the Police of the Province of Buenos Aires (DIPBA). In a concrete way, the files corresponding to two paradigmatic massacres in Argentine political life are analyzed: the ‘Trelew Massacre’ (August 1972) and the ‘Ezeiza Massacre’ (June 1973).
