Reflecting on the use of cinema as didactic material for the academic teaching of design implies making visible the articulation between cinema as a cultural object and its arrival in the classrooms not free of tensions and mediations in order to enter the academic field. It also implies considering and relating new cultural consumptions to the construction of knowledge, where the image and visuality prevails over other languages. Mediated by audiovisual consumption and based on the analysis of the current scenario, crossed by new technologies, ubiquitous and multiform, we propose to outline, build and analyze teaching-learning processes where cinema manages to transpose itself to the field of specific disciplinary training enabling the construction of the knowledge from meaningful and genuine practices.
