This work aims to investigate the possibilities presented by images to circulate unaddressed, untreated themes. In particular, it will focus on the virtues of the cinematographic device in relation to the management of contemporary themes, especially considering its role as an agent in emotional conformations.

With this interest, fragments of two documentary film productions, Sadness and Piety (Ophüls, France, 1969) and A Field of Battle. Woman’s Body (Álvarez, Argentina, 2013). Both films refer to traumatic memories, the first in relation to the German occupation in France during World War II and the second on the last Argentine military dictatorship
