DIAZ DE SABATES, Gabriela; SABATES, Marcelo; LOS SANTOS, Gabriel e STIEGWARDT, Tomás. Prólogo. Cuad. Cent. Estud. Diseñ. Comun., Ensayos [online]. 2023, n.117, pp.11-19. Epub 01-Mar-2023. ISSN 1853-3523. http://dx.doi.org/10.18682/cdc.vi117.
This new volumen keeps exploring theoretical models and concrete applications that reformulate the role and the attributes of “heroicity” in different narratives, establishing the Heroine’s Journey. Through research, analysis, and reflection this volumen extends its boundaries to include issues of gender and diversity. Even though these issues have existed in all societies throughout the history of the world, they have gained momentum through feminist and LGBTQI+ movements. This structural social change is evidenced in academia, arts, business and creative industries.
Because we fully believe in the progressive value of global collaboration, this volume contains the work of academics from the College of Design and Communication at the University of Palermo (Argentina), Universidad National of Buenos Aires (Argentina), Universidad National of Tres de Febrero (Argentina), Columbia College Chicago (U.S.A.), Kansas State University (U.S.A.) and School of the Art Institute of Chicago (U.S.A.), and is supported by the Argentinean General Consulate in Chicago.
