The celebrations of the Argentine National Bicentennial -May 2010- and the public place artistically intervened for that occasion allow us to think the visual narratives installed during these festivities: the door made by the Group of Street Art (GAC). We are interested in problematizing the material condition of this work, as an ephemeral artifact and its correlation with the political context in which it took place. We will try to think about this artwork as a practice of contemporary memory in which the category of the monumental / countermonumental; watching this as an aesthetic, performatic and interpellant perception of the city.
