The logic that governs the accumulation of the capital in the 21st century have affected in a significant way the structure of urban space in the city of Tandil, be generating new modalities of appropriation of land on the part of the different social actors. In this respect, a dispute is observed regarding spaces that are attractive to private investors such as the such as the surrounding hillsides which have high landscape value for tourism and real estade developers.. Other urban actors question the strong sovial exclusion that takes place because of the merchandising of these territories. This struggle of interests will try to be understood on the basis of the contradictions that the accumulation of the capital generates at present between different spatial land uses , which are closely related new forms of urban spatial appropriation.
