FEDELE, Javier  e  UCEDO, Javier. Proyecto urbano y fragmentación de la ciudad: el caso de los terrenos ferro-portuarios en Santa Fe. Cuad. urbano [online]. 2012, vol.12, n.12, pp.43-69. ISSN 1853-3655.

The correlation between infrastructure investment and urban process leads to fields of study directed towards pondering current changes and recent interventions carried out in many cities, where a process of recycling of railway and port facilities was performed. Such is the case of Santa Fe, where by the analysis of how the railway and port infrastructures have been converted, raises new questions, and the trends of this processes unraveled. This implies assessing the whole process and not as the analysis of separate urban projects. This allows the construction of explanatory views as to whether these facilities were developed selectively while not modifying its physical configuration, or remain derelict with no recycling actions taking place. Both situations converge on accelerating the social and urban fragmentation processes that are part of the construction of contemporary city processes.

Palavras-chave : Railway and port areas; Urban regeneration; Urban and social fragmentation; Santa Fe (Argentina).
