HUMACATA, Luis  e  BUZAI, Gustavo. Spatial-temporal analysis of COVID-19 and agglomeration hypothesis in the municipalities of the Lujan river basin (province of Buenos Aires, Argentina). Estudios Socioterritoriales [online]. 2021, vol.30, pp.99-99. ISSN 1853-4392.  http://dx.doi.org/10.37838/unicen/est.30-313.

This work develops methodological procedures for quantitative spatial analysis based on the use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) focused on the analysis of the spatial-temporal behaviour of COVID-19. The objective is focused on the construction of a spatial classification score as a synthesis of variables that indicate concentration and to verify the agglomeration hypothesis as a scientific conjecture of causality, currently very widespread, which indicates the greater ease of contagion of COVID-19 in contexts of high densities. The study area corresponds to the municipalities of the Luján river basin (Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina) and the results constitute a contribution to the understanding of the problem and the contributions that from Geography can be made to socio- spatial planning health in the current context of pandemic.
