In our study we focus on analyzing the relationships between the representatives of the Chilean Catholicism with the craft-workers in the city of Osorno (Chile) in the late nineteenth century. Specifically studying public life of the priest Franz Bohle, emphasizing is role as a driver of the labor movements. Throughout his life describe how social Catholicism faced the challenges of modern capitalism, and proposed a comprehensive intervention in society towards defend liberal and anti-clerical Radical Party. To rescue the action of this priest in defense of social Catholicism, we used documentary series previously never used when considering the religious conflict in the country, particularly aimed to show the political conflict and multiple cross interests of stakeholders involved in our research.
