The objective of this article is to analyze the articulation between training for work and employment in the Software and Computer Services sector in Corrientes. It starts with characterizing the evolution of employment in the sector and then identifies the existing training options. It is based on data available from secondary sources and interviews with key participants from the educational and productive fields. The result is that there is a limited connection between the local socio-productive actors, from which it visualizes a dispersed and fragmented training offer. Although, the terms of the training for work debate appear marked by a common representation, linked to its adaptation to the skills needs of companies, it is considered that the training offered needs to be reconsidered though a social dialogue between different actors of the educational system and productive field.
