Kilku Warak’a, ​​Quechua poet, author of the poems Taki Parwa (1955), Taki Ruru (1964), Yawar Para (1967) and Qory Hamancay (1980); the first three published only in Quechua and the last posthumously in a bilingual edition (Quechua-Spanish). The purpose of this article is to analyze the condition of wakch’a, world orphan or cosmic loneliness, represented in his collection of poems Taki Parwa. To do this, we first propose the Andean cultural category of wakch’a. Then, we analyze the different types of orphans that are represented in the poems, such as the abandonment of the gods, the emptiness of the world and the orphanhood of the family. During the analysis, we will also turn to other categories of Quechua lyric. With this we will demonstrate that in the Quechua poetry of Kilku Warak’a orphanhood is fundamental to configure his work.
