This article aims to analyze Entre Rios' production structure using CEPAL's Structural Development Gaps approach. Entre Rios has historically relied heavily on the primary sector in its production structure, and the most dynamic industrial activities are those associated with this sector. The province displays significant structural heterogeneity in its production matrix, which requires structural changes for its development. It is advisable to characterise the gaps in productivity and innovation of Entre Rios province compared to other provinces in the Central Region, specifically Córdoba and Santa Fe. Despite the indication of economic growth, the province has not effectively diversified its productive structure nor significantly promoted industries associated with knowledge and technology, both vital for development.
