This article analyzes and discusses the academic productions of Physical Education on Early Childhood Education, from a brief presentation and analysis of the studies that took such production as a research theme. In methodological terms, it constitutes an integrative review of the articles, theses and dissertations that set out to study the referred production and are available on the CAPES Journal Portal, the CAPES Theses and Dissertations Catalog and the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD). It presents a synthesis and analysis of the main aspects of production that studies allow us to know, points out some gaps and indicates some relationships between the theoretical frameworks that support the productions and the proposals presented for the pedagogical practice of Education with Early Childhood Education that have been systematized. It concludes that, although important, the emphasis given by the studies of revision and state of the art to the quantitative and descriptive aspects of production has hindered a more comprehensive understanding of the discourses that are produced about Physical Education in Early Childhood Education.
