The aim of this article is to analyse the uses of mural decoration in the buildings built by the Dirección General de Arquitectura from the Ministry of Public Works of Argentina in the 1930s. During this period, the Ministry built its own offices and those of the Ministry of Finance; both were decorated with images that will be examined. Moreover, we will examine the proposal of the artists who addressed the State to offer mural painting as a means to communicate ideas to a broader public, through images.
